What's needed to get started?
Before the official project launch we provide an onboarding checklist that includes required information such as your company logo files, its brand kit, and all the text/copy of your site (depending on the package or if they're purchased as add-ons).
How does your process work and how long will it take to make?
After learning about your business over a consultation call, we prepare a proposal that includes the project scope, timeline, and budget. Once accepted, a 33% deposit is required to begin the first phase.
We start in a research phase of your competitors and industry. An initial draft is built of the website's content structure for review which completes phase 1. This begins the iterative feedback process until everyone is pleased with the finalized design for site launch.
With promptness from feedback requests and questions, your site will be completed in 2-3 weeks, depending on its complexity.
Do you provide the domain name and web hosting?
Yes, JP Design will help you in purchasing a domain name and setting up your site at whichever preferred host as an add-on service. Domain names typically cost $12/year, while web hosting for small businesses cost on average $10/month. If needed we can assist in finding the best hosting for your needs.
Will I have ownership of the website?
Yes of course. Your website will be moved over to your account, with 100% ownership and editing rights upon payment of final invoice. JP Design reserves the rights to display development examples in our portfolio.
Are Zoom calls required for each revision round?
Our projects include 3 major revision rounds, which add helpful structure to the project. Minor cosmetic changes, or text/image replacement requests won't count towards these cycles. We aim to be flexible!
Zoom calls can be requested for any revision round, but are not strictly necessary. We provide status updates for each round, and in many cases it's better to have your response in writing for cross-referencing and to make sure we accommodate all requests.
